The Red Ants Pants (RAP) Foundation is pleased to announce the sixth round of our Community Grant Program. This program is made possible by funds raised at the 2016 Red Ants Pants Music Festival in White Sulphur Springs, MT and private donations. Applications will be accepted until April 30, 2017.
Grant winners will be notified by June 1, 2017.
Winners will be awarded weekend passes to the 2017 Festival and congratulated in the Festival newspaper, on the Foundation website, and through social media channels. Eligible individuals or organizations must have a mission and values in alignment with the RAP Foundation, or show that the grant award will be used in a way that furthers the RAP Foundation mission and values.
The mission of the Red Ants Pants Foundation:
-To develop and expand leadership roles for women
-To preserve and support working family farms and ranches
-To enrich and promote rural communities
The values of the Red Ants Pants Foundation:
-To recognize and cultivate a strong work ethic
-To encourage and build self-reliance, especially for women
-To educate the public on the importance of maintaining traditional work skills
-To provide opportunities for people with different perspectives to connect, build bridges, and discover common ground.
These grant awards are available to 501-C3 non-profit organizations, and in limited cases, for-profits organizations, as long as the project has a public charitable mission. The grant award will range between a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $10,000. Incomplete applications will not be considered. No funds will be awarded for any expenses incurred prior to written approval of the grant award from the RAP Foundation.
The RAP Foundation Board of Directors may not advocate on behalf of any grant applicants to which they have a direct connection, and must recuse themselves from any discussions regarding applicants with which they have a conflict of interest (as defined in the RAP Foundation Board Conflict of Interest Policy).
Consideration will not be given to organizations or individuals whose mission or intended use of the award fails to meet the mission and values of the RAP Foundation. In addition, these grant awards are not intended to support the following types of organizations and activities:
-Organizations that discriminate based on race, color, gender, religion, sexual
orientation, national origin, age or disability.
-Organizations engaged in political, legislative, or lobbying activities.
-Marketing sponsorships or cause marketing or advertising projects.
