Elizabeth would be the first person to encourage you to reach out for a scholarship if you thought for a moment that learning these skills would make you fundamentally happy, would help you feel empowered, or would give you an extra ounce of courage or creativity to bring along on your journey through life. Each year, one full scholarship is awarded to a women interested in learning basic chainsaw operation skills through our Chainsaw 101 course.

To be considered for this scholarship opportunity we request interested individuals submit an application for review by our scholarship committee. All reviewed and accepted applications will be entered into a pool and one applicant will be selected at random each year to receive the Elizabeth Bane Memorial Scholarship. The brief application includes a request for basic contact information, an explanation of your interest in the course, and a description of how you may use these skills in the future. 

The Red Ants Pants Foundation will be accepting applications for the Elizabeth Bane Memorial Scholarship May 1st - May 31st. All applicants will be notified of the status of their application by June 15th.

Thank you for considering a mentorship role with the Red Ants Pants Foundation's Flagship Girls Leadership Program (GLP). The GLP consists of a cohort of eight girls, eight female mentors and a team of professional facilitators. All participants attend three multi-day retreats throughout the year. Between retreats, girls develop a community leadership project and engage in a one-on-one mentoring designed to provide support, accountability, and assistance as needed. Mentors are required to attend all retreats, virtual events, and check-ins.

Mentors are not therapists and they are not counselors. They are meant to serve as role-models who are available to support participants in maximizing their experience in the program, and to help hold them accountable to their goals. All mentors must complete a criminal history background check prior to being accepted to the program.
